Advances in artificial intelligence have significantly boosted speech recognition and automatic captioning tools that are now found in Google Workspace (and other applications). This session will showcase some of these tools, like automatic captioning in Google Vids, voice typing (and listening) in Google Docs, live captions in Google Slides, and caption options for videos stored in Google Drive.

Learn how to effectively facilitate interactive activities—from Debate the Bot to 20 Questions to Choose Your Own Adventure activities using Google Gemini. Participants will generate a student-ready resource, customize it using Diffit Chat, and explore ways to support differentiation, scaffolding, and engagement for all learners.

Artificial intelligence is quickly becoming a powerful support tool for educators, but many teachers are unsure how to begin. In this practical session, participants will learn the basics of writing effective prompts and explore how three AI tools—Gemini, NotebookLM, and Brisk—can help streamline lesson planning, generate creative classroom activities, and support student engagement across subjects. Through guided examples, teachers will discover how simple prompts can produce ideas for lessons, projects, assessments, and differentiation. Educators will leave with practical prompt strategies and ready-to-use examples they can immediately apply in their classrooms and in their lives.
